This case study is one of three published as part of the Pillars in Practice (PIP) Program to advance the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs).
This case study follows Compañía Azucarera del Sur S.A, (CASUR), an agribusiness in Nicaragua. CASUR participated in training and SAI’s Social Fingerprint assessment program to measure their social impact through the Pillars in Practice project. CASUR measured their social impact in the Nicaragua agricultural sector, with the technical assistance of uniRSE and SAI. The case study reports on the assessment process and outcomes.
