Use this page to explore the list of Certification Bodies (CBs) accredited by SAAS to conduct SA8000 audits and deliver certifications. Only organizations listed on this page are accredited by SAAS and have the ability to grant recognized SA8000 certificates. Any other claim is false and should be reported to SAAS. If you see an SA8000 certificate issued by an organization not listed on this page, it has been issued outside of the approved process.
The accreditation and authorization process is based on SAAS’ ongoing accreditation audits and oversight of the CB’s training, procedures, and audit management. Services offered by unaccredited organizations should not be accepted, nor are the SA8000 certificates issued by such organizations recognized as meeting the SA8000 requirements. Accredited SA8000 CBs invest significant time, effort and funds to develop and maintain a credible system for certification to SA8000. An unaccredited SA8000 certificate does not provide assurance that the respective company has implemented a social accountability management system nor that it has an active commitment toward ensuring adequate workplace conditions as set in national and international legislation and in the requirements of SA8000.
