It&nbsp;is appreciated by brands and industry leaders for its rigorous approach to ensuring the highest quality of social compliance in their supply chains without sacrificing business interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Standard reflects labor provisions contained within the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions.&nbsp;It also respects, complements, and supports national labor laws around the world, and currently helps secure ethical working conditions for over&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sa-intl.org\/sa8000-search\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2.8 million workers<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sa-intl.org\/sa8000-standard-revision\/\">Regular revisions<\/a>&nbsp;ensure the Standard\u2019s continuing applicability in the face of new and emergent social and human rights issues. Organizational buyers, independent codes of conduct, and private sector initiatives have all recognized SA8000\u2019s multi-sector applicability and responded to growing public interest by integrating SA8000 criteria into their compliance processes. Similarly, governments wishing to encourage and strengthen social performance in the workplace have created incentive programs specifically recognizing companies with an accredited SA8000 certification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to publishing SA8000 and its&nbsp;supporting documents, SAI offers a wide selection of resources to help organizations maintain and continually improve their social performance, including capacity building, stakeholder engagement, collaboration between buyers and suppliers, and tools to ensure continued improvement. SA8000:2026 Standard. These indicators are&nbsp;not-requirements&nbsp;of&nbsp;the SA8000:2026 Standard.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SA8000:2026 Indicator Library supports&nbsp;understanding of the SA8000 Standard intent&nbsp;by providing examples of&nbsp;evidence&nbsp;that may&nbsp;indicate&nbsp;an organization is meeting (or&nbsp;failing to meet) each criterion.&nbsp;This Indicator Library provides a&nbsp;<strong><em>non-exhaustive, non-prescriptive list<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;of&nbsp;processes, documents and records, metrics, adverse impacts, visual\/sensory&nbsp;observations, and statements from personnel and stakeholders that&nbsp;serves&nbsp;as a reference tool for implementing or assessing conformance to SA8000:2026.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Indicator Library shall not be considered&nbsp;as&nbsp;a set of requirements on organizations, nor as a definitive description of good practice. The&nbsp;Library&nbsp;provides examples of good practice for organizations of&nbsp;different sizes, industries, maturity levels, and other&nbsp;factors without distinguishing between them.&nbsp;Organizations and assessors should&nbsp;reference this Library to&nbsp;help with their interpretation of criteria and to&nbsp;understand&nbsp;some of the many possibilities for&nbsp;meeting them.&nbsp;While we have&nbsp;attempted&nbsp;to include examples from most types of organizations, it may be possible for&nbsp;an&nbsp;organization to meet a criterion without&nbsp;having most of the sample indicators present.&nbsp;It is important that assessors&nbsp;avoid&nbsp;using the Indicator Library as a checklist&nbsp;or another set of requirements.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div
